How do I register to become a Chaplain? Why is there a fee?
​We have made Registration to become a certified ECO Chaplain as easy as 1-2-3. By clicking HERE, you are on your way to becoming a Chaplain. Chaplains must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. The costs associated with this training as any professional organization. ECO has financial obligations and our students assist us in meeting those obligations. ECO offers world-class Christian Chaplaincy training!
Am I required to pay my entire tuition up front?
In a perfect world, YES, but ECO understands that some students will not be able to complete payment until closer to the end of the class cycle. However, there is a required $115 registration cost that must be satisfied before you can start class. Although a Payment Plan can be drawn up to assist you, tuition is required to be paid in FULL in order to participate in graduation and receive your certificate and proper credentials. If you are having problems making your tuition payments or need to work out Payment Plan, you may do so after filling out the application by clicking here. PLEASE NOTE: YOU must register by filling out an application first before becoming eligible for a Payment Plan. We are standing by to assist you!
Is this like "real school"?
We are excited to offer a professional, educational environment for our Chaplains. As such, we will require you to show up to class on time, bringing a notebook and pencil or pen with you. Unexcused absences can keep you from becoming certified and credentialed. Tests, including a final exam, are given and a 70% final score is required. In short, YES, we are just like "real school". We want you to put your best effort forward to earn your right to serve as a Chaplain.

Will ECO assist me with finding a Volunteer Chaplaincy assignment?

The answer to that is a resounding, YES! One of the many areas we are striving to be different and unique in is the area of volunteer assignments for Chaplains. We are so serious, in fact,that we have ​​​​​​​​​​an actual paid staff member who is responsible for setting up Chaplaincy services with non-profit organizations and assigning available Chaplains. Isn't that EXCITING!

How many books do I need to purchase for the chaplaincy class?

The digital version of the Chaplaincy Manual is included in the cost of your tuition. Those students wishing to have a hard copy of the manual can request a printed version at a cost of $45.00
